Guidance and psychological counseling
Based on the approach of "The smallest step taken to the first step of the education life is actually the beginning of the biggest steps", a developmental and preventive guidance approach is followed, not just a crisis-oriented one. Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit contributes to students becoming self-aware, self-confident, adaptable and communication skills, sensitive to their environment and values, healthy, happy, able to make the right decisions, able to express themselves, able to solve their problems, and creative individuals.
In order to ensure that our students have a positive perception of school and self, the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit carries out planned and systematic school adaptation studies, concept development, visual perception and attention studies, observations and scans. The education process is supported with a school maturity test, parent interviews covering the entire process, and individual student interviews during the transition from kindergarten to primary education. The Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit carries out its work throughout the year in cooperation with teachers, parents and students.
GUIDANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING (primary school)
Psychological Counseling and Guidance Service helps students become self-aware, self-confident, adaptable and communication skills, sensitive to their environment, happy, healthy, able to make the right decisions, able to express themselves, able to solve their problems, and creative individuals. In our school, our students can benefit from the educational environment in the best way, get to know themselves, develop themselves, make decisions, and acquire problem-solving skills; Parents, teachers and students work together to ensure healthy development as a whole, mentally, physically, socially and emotionally. Social, personal, preventive and developmental guidance studies are carried out systematically. Because only improving the cognitive capacities of the student does not mean that the student is educated, the child must be developed in all aspects. It is impossible to achieve this with only "teaching" activities without providing guidance services.
Guidance is a service provided for the overall development of the student with all personality dimensions. Because it is possible for the child to realize himself and lead a harmonious life in society, to be a useful individual for himself and society, in short, to create a successful and happy life, and to become a fully productive individual by developing all his potential powers to a great extent. As Swette Marden said, "There are dormant powers within human beings. Even he is surprised. Because he does not even think that he has these powers. If he can awaken these powers and take action, there will be a great revolution in that person's life." As the American Culture College guidance service, we aim for exactly this. We know that we must raise happy children for a happy future.
